Join us this summer for Outdoor Voice, a series of four day-long Creative Writing Retreats in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.

Experiment with writing and sense of place – among flowering trees of early spring, on a hillside high above the Connecticut River, and other nearby sites that are worlds away from our everyday lives.

Using the Amherst Writers & Artists method, we will explore new approaches to writing and build on the skills we already have.   Beginners and experienced writers are welcome – come and enjoy a full day of Slow Travel through writing.

– Participants are welcome to sign up for individual dates, or the full series.

– All sites are within 15 miles of Amherst. 

– These will be outdoor settings, without electrical outlets; laptops will need 5-6 hours of battery power… though this might be a great time to see what happens with paper and pen.

– In case of rain, we will meet at an indoor site near Amherst center.
