Use Your Outdoor Voice
Join us this summer for Outdoor Voice, a series of four day-long Creative Writing Retreats in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
Experiment with writing and sense
of place among flowering trees of early spring, on a hillside high
above the Connecticut River, and other nearby sites that are worlds away
from our everyday lives.
Using the Amherst Writers &
Artists method, we will explore new approaches to writing and build on
the skills we already have. Beginners and experienced writers are
welcome come and enjoy a full day of Slow Travel through writing.
You can read more about Creative Writing as a form of Slow Travel here.
Note:
Participants are welcome to sign up for individual dates, or the full
series.
All sites are within 15 miles of Amherst.
These will be
outdoor settings, without electrical outlets; laptops will need 5-6
hours of battery power
though this might be a great time to see what
happens with paper and pen.
In case of rain, we will meet at an indoor
site near Amherst center.

simple, traditional recipes, using natural and organic ingredients from
local sources as much as possible. Wait did I say "delicious"? Also
delicious.
